Since we will all be “Home for the Holidays”  

Let’s light up North Kingstown and spread the holiday spirit & cheer!  

Holiday Decorating Contest 

December 11-24, 2020 

A map & list (with house #s) will be available on 12/11 @ 5pm to view & vote for your favorite.

Register your location by choosing the voting category you would like to be in and complete the online form and payment

Holiday Decorating Contest Registration must be completed by Friday 12/4/2020.

Luminary Event 

December 23 & 24, 2020 (5-9pm)                       

Two night event to end the contest with a luminary bag display uniting streets and neighborhoods of North Kingstown in a beautiful glowing exhibit for the holidays .

Business Storefront Display Category  – Pizza Party for up to 10 employees 

Holiday Decorating Contest Rules:

  • Participants must be residents or business owners of the Town of North Kingstown.
  • A photo of the decorated location must be submitted to NKEF by 12/10/2020.
  • Locations must be ready for viewing on Friday, 12/11/2020 at 5pm thru Wednesday 12/24/2020. 
  • Voting will be done by the public and online.  Votes close 12/26/2020 at 12am.
  • Winners will be announced on Tuesday 12/29/2020 on social media.  
  • All decorating must be done in good taste, family-oriented and completed by the resident and not a professional decorator/designer.
  • Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, color, lighting and curb appeal. 
  • This contest is meant to spread appropriate holiday spirit and cheer not promote financial resources.  
  • Lights and decorations must be securely fastened to private property and structures.  Public equipment such as utility poles or structures and street lights or signs can not be used.
