The NKEF would like to announce that a Library Box has been installed at the NK Food Pantry. We appreciate the NK Food Pantry for hosting this box and we would like to thank the Shea Family – Jeff, Alison and Evan for sponsoring and building the box. The box is filled with books for all reading levels from board baby books to children’s story books, young reader chapter books and adult books. We welcome you to take a book and lead a book!! We had a spooktacular Halloween Bingo event last week. The evening was full of lots of luck and unique bingo games. Thank you to all who attended. And a special thank you to St. Paul’s Parish House for the venue and the Blue Bus Foundation for the opportunity. We had lots of spooky winners and an Eery good time. The NKEF appreciates all the support.

Thank you to Brian O’Malley and the Wickford Art Association for bringing the North Kingstown Educational Foundation back for the 2nd time to assist with this year’s 59th Wickford Art Festival. We had over 45 NKEF volunteers donate their time to park cars and sell water, during the Festival at Wilson Park and Centerville Bank. Our sincere thanks are given to each and every one of them. Without their support we would not have been able to successfully park over 2,000 cars and sell over 1,500 bottles of water during the weekend festival. All proceeds will directly benefit NKEF and the WAA.
We couldn’t have done it without you NKEF Volunteers!

Thank you to all those who attended the Prize Pickup event on Sunday. We had lots of fun picking out new books and shooting hoops with some of the NKHS Boys Basketball team. It was a buzzer beating win!!!

It is that time of year – if you are spring cleaning and have books to share. The NKEF will be collecting gently used books (children and adults) to fill our Library boxes located throughout North Kingstown. Help us stock our boxes and share the gift of reading!!
