Bring back the Old-Fashioned Luminarias and make it a New Holiday Tradition.  Luminarias first appeared in history around the 16th century. They were used to guide people to midnight mass on the last night of Las Posadas (Spanish word meaning lodging or inn).   They were used to welcome people into safety.  Let’s use them now to welcome people home for the holidays and make all things in NK merry and bright!

Luminary event – December 18, 2021 (5-10pm) 

 One night event to end the contest with a luminary bag display uniting streets and neighborhoods of  North Kingstown in a beautiful glowing exhibit for the holidays .  

A new map including Luminary areas will be available on 12/17 to follow & enjoy the sights. (In case of inclement weather : Rain date is Sunday, 12/19/21 and will announced by 12/18/21 at 12pm)

Thank you to all who took a chance on the NKEF first annual Golf Drop Ball.  You made it a “hole-in-one” event.  We went Live on Facebook on August 15, 2021 and dropped 172 golf balls from 15 feet in the air. 

It was an exciting moment and had two winners in the hole and 1 farthest from the hole, winning a cash prize.
